Blaming Others
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We can’t force anyone else to take responsibility—that’s their choice, their timeline. What I’ve learned is the outside world mirrors what’s going on inside us. And that can feel confusing, especially with a painful past. We think—how do I take responsibility for things I didn’t cause? Maybe we blame our parents for our self-worth struggles, or our partner for making them worse. And honestly, that blame can feel justified.
But here’s the truth: blame—toward them or ourselves—keeps us stuck. It wraps us in guilt, shame, and powerlessness, waiting for someone else to make it right. Healing doesn’t work that way. Healing begins the moment we stop waiting.
We forgive, not for them—but for us. We walk away from what hurts, even if they never apologize. We reclaim our power by saying: I choose how I’m treated. I love myself the way I deserve. And then we hand the rest to the universe. No more blame. Just freedom.
