The other day, I was at my meditation spot, and I overheard a friend ask another mutual friend how she was doing. And right away, she launched into this long sob story about everything going wrong in her life. Thing after thing—it was heavy. Funny enough, I had just taken her on as a new client, so I was actually excited to see her the next day.
In our session, I brought it up. I said, “Hey, I was standing right there—let’s talk about it.” One by one, we went through each of those “bad” things… and I guided her through my Flip the Switch technique. We found the positive in every single thing she had complained about.
And you know what she said at the end of our session? “Wow. I guess I had an amazing week—I didn’t even realize it.”
